Groves will be better able to stretch the floor than BVP, has pretty good vision when it comes to passing (as BVP did), but will not be as tough. An upgrade overall, and Groves >>>> Caffaro. A necessary piece to add.

Brady Manek averaged 10.8 points and 5 rebounds at Oklahoma before he transfered to UNC and look what he became for that team

True, though Manek was an efficiency beast from the get go. He shot under 37% from 3 in just one season in his career and under 53% from 2 once as well. At UNC he created assists as well as BVP did for us last year (which was pretty solid), and he was great at not turning over the ball. He wasn’t a great rebounder or defensive player, but he posted a full season eFG% under 58% just once (Shedrick and Caffaro were the only players on UVAs roster last year to have ever posted an eFG% that high).

If he had more 3-point attempts, his 48.3% from three-point range would make him the second most-accurate 3-point shooter in Division 1.
What have we got to lose by building our offense around him for the rest of this season?
If he can’t get his shot off, let’s give him the best possible chance of getting it off. Don’t we set screens, double-screens, whatever, to free up shooters?
His 3-point form looks great. Build the offense around him! Just my opinion. 48.3%! If all he does it shoot airballs, I think eventually they’d start to go in!
