whew. apart from Malik getting his waiver (which arguably would top this pickup slightly), this will be the biggest addition by far of this cycle. we could not afford to lose this one. so damn giddy about this lol
Funny enough there is a euro scout out on twitter who thinks Luke Kornet is his player comp and thinks he’s more of a 2-3 year college player than a one and done. Too lazy to find the tweet now. The guy still thinks he will impact high major basketball right away wherever he lands (this was like last week).
Celtics fan in me
I think he plays like Pau Gasol too - not as skilled obviously…
Interesting. Been assuming he’s one and done.
His tape really reminds me of Huff. Very similar looking strokes from behind the arc

National guys showing love.
Sweet so I can pencil him in for 6mins a game and a Nati?
Watching his highlights, to me, he looks like a guy who will need and benefit from time in the weight room with Mike Curtis. Still a bit of Bambi in him and will have to adjust to physical centers on the better teams. But there’s a lot to work with in him and his mobility and inside/outside game should work well in Odom’s system. I’m excited!
The Big Umlaut. What a get!
He’s playing against pros/grown men though and still a big time shot blocker there.
PSA: Now that he is an official player… typing Grünloh without the umlaut or with the ue will be replaced by the correct German spelling. Huzzah!
Grunloh → Grünloh
Gruenloh → Grünloh
@HoozGotNext This is just for you.
If we somehow get Thomas eligible wow
Assume you mean Malik Thomas?
More seismic than Power to Penn though?
This kid is a real get. Sweet stroke, great length, and seems very skilled as a blocker. I was impressed that the blocks (we saw) were not of the knock it in the third row vaiety, but done with precision and nice adjustments.
Doesn’t appear to be a great jumper, but will likely improve with some big-time help in the weight room.
