Kadin Shedrick Enters The Portal

I’m not going to post them but he’s getting roasted in the quote tweets.

The salty Providence fan is my favorite one. Also, Colorado is absolutely the funniest school on that list.

Please go to Cincinnati

Indiana has some type of NIL Collective that apparently has a lot of money in it. I was reading their board yesterday and a couple of guys were complaining about having a great lineup that is bought and paid for

I’m hoping he goes to Vandy.

Mostly I’m just glad not to see Duke, UNC, or VT on that list. Because that means now I can root for him to do well.

Yeah, I was just thinking about that. Really looked inside myself and realized that I was totally fine with him going to FSU. Might actually be a great place for him.

he’s either revealing the info to boost his NIL value “look how much interest I have” or doing it as a little shot at the coaching staff who all but benched him after winning in Vegas. Maybe a little of both!

These 16 schools have like almost nothing in common. This list looks like someone threw darts at a map of P5+BE schools.

I’m getting a crash course in all of this stuff now as its going on from conversations with folks and, from what I understand, the UVA NIL collective is actually fairly competitive, generally speaking, and the perception is that it will be even better next year. At least such that it becomes less of an issue when players are considering most schools and makes the conversation much more about playstyle/playing time, etc.

There are the Miami’s of the world but, for the types of players who we draw/land/compete for, players could be doing worse - and even on the transfer recruiting trail, there is much more discussion around the structure of how it all works, not actual numbers. Nebraska basketball sounds like it just comes in and leads with the bag/benefits, though, haha, but even in that case, it’s hard to make that worth coming to a program like that when their goal is to show out/thrive on the court.

Indiana does sound like they have it very structured and well thought out, though.

Good stuff. It makes me wonder then why we aren’t linked to more of the higher end transfers where that s priority 1. I assume it is because our presentation is ‘X is out there and possible for you’, while Miami’s of the world is ‘you will get X up front’

yep.. that is it imo

It’s funny that the world will just continue to call it NIL, instead of “compensation” or “salary.” We are so, so far from anyone even pretending this has anything to with name, image, and/or likeness, but the name sticks.

It’s a cool naming convention and sounds better than “paying players” to those who quiver at that term. I’m sure as long as the checks clear no athletes gives a damn about what it’s called.
