Reading that whole tweet is pretty funny. Kadin is described as “6’11” SF Kedlin Shedrick”. And they’d play him and Reneau at the same time, with Sparks off the bench? I guess that could work.
Is it really PNR when you jack a jumper as soon as the screen is set?
Edit: Guess Kadin would be back to his Blocker Mover roots…
It’s pick and waive it off, nah I got this. PNWIONIGT
Yeah not sure why Kadin wants to put himself in that spot unless the money is just that much better than other suitors (sounds like Sparks making 100k+ per year). By January, Kadin will be coming off the bench again…
Yeah, moving to a more physical conference may present some challenges. Indiana is basically losing everyone from this years team.
6-11 Kedlin playing SF will be fun to watch. Are they going to have him on the wing?
Guess the IU money is enough to make everyone I’m with that. Lol
Thats when you start fakin the pick and just do the roll part
If this report is accurate, sounds like the rumblings that Shedrick was reaching out to teams after Winter Break looking for a NIL deal is correct?
I’m sure Shedrick was thinking “What I really need is more games against Hunter Dickinson’s elbows.”
Actually, Shedrick to IU makes me happy. Good team, Woodson seems to know what he’s doing as a coach, and as a bonus he’s somewhere I can unreservedly root for him to succeed.
Yup… Don’t blame the staff one bit for benching him
Not that it really matters much, but there are a range of behaviors that would fit under the category of “reached out to other teams to determine his value.” At the benign end, would be reaching out to buddies on other teams to get a ballpark of what they make. At the other end, would be having someone from his side (fam, friends, HS coaches, AAu coaches, trainer, whoever) make clear to reps from a staff/school that Kadin might be open to transferring depending on how much his NIL payment would be at that school. I assume most folks are assuming it’s toward the “open negotiation” end of the spectrum, but who knows, really. I don’t think reaching out to buddies would be so odd. But in any event, I suspect we won’t find out.
Dad says it’s hoops related, and at some level, that’s obviously true. Even if Kadin is making six figures next year, the bigger payoff I assume him and the fam are hoping for is down the line. Like a 5-10 year career where he makes six figures each year, and maybe more. I know that NIL and those who chase it are popular boogeymen right now, but I’m more bummed that Kadin didn’t think that UVa was the best spot for him to chase the 5-10 year goal next year.
THIS
If Kadin transferred because he just never got to where he and the staff wanted and he thinks new digs will help a la Morsell, then I wish him well with his UVA degree in all future endeavors.
If he started shopping around for a new home in December and wasn’t all in, then I hope he gets his $100k a year, develops less than he would here, and has career basketball earnings end up being less than if he’d stayed.
Yep- well Kadin is a 6’11 guy, and to be honest we don’t maximize our bigs, and *nobody over 6’9 is in the NBA because of UVa and the ones that are, are because they can shoot (Trigga & Huff- and even Huff wasn’t drafted at 7’1 !!!), or are super athletic (Mamadi)… We do not focus on bigger players unless they can stretch the floor which is a rare set.
So bottom line *if you’re a talented big I’d rather us not waste our time because it’s going to look bad in the end. On the flip side if you are like Jack Salt, then come on down. The rest of the team can be 6’8/9 or shorter and need to be athletic, nimble, and long.
Well said - I read IU insider specifically mention an IU coach that had been in contact with Shedrick before he announced the decision to transfer. Fact pattern is concerning but I think we have been hearing that poaching is going on…
Not reposting cause I dont care that much, but Kadin trimmed his list to 16 and FSU is only ACC team on there. We won’t see him
Kadins just trolling at this point LOL

Good teams but honestly surprised not to see Duke. Daron Holmes must be a lock to them.
Kansas is a good option. Good luck bro
He should go to Rutgers.
