Lacrosse reloading nicely… official signed class of 24…
Quite a class. If Lacrosse doesn’t work out, a few of them might have future in football.
We were never really in that game. Seems like Lars hasn’t settled on goalie or #1 middie line yet. The only upside is our D got a ton of work in that game as the Spiders had the ball on O much of the game with a slow deliberate offense to boot.

@brogdonfanpage getting an espn shoutout
He’s been called the Mel Kiper of Lacrosse in some circles. Such an awesome thing.
May finally see Scott stadium full next year
Does lax fill up the stadiums for these things these days? Only one I went to was way back in 1998 and Rutgers stadium still had plenty of elbow room. And that’s in a tourist hot spot like New Brunswick.
If its UVa v Maryland or Georgetown I could definitely see a pretty large crowd
Last two seasons they were getting 30-32k for the semis and finals at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly.
Feels like there should be enormous pressure on Lars & co to put together a team that will get there. Would be a massive crowd
Yeah attendance looks like it has declined. I saw us win the natty in 2006 but seeing now that was a bit of attendance at its peak.
In 1998, I think I saw about 17k on Wikipedia. Seems like maybe the sport had really big growth between mid 90s and late 2000s or so.
1999- 24k
2000- 23k
Yada yada — seems like it blew up in mid/late 2000s and then came back down to earth pre COVID and esp post COVID
I feel like in the mid-2010’s we saw some additional parity and schools from outside the mid-Atlantic start to compete on the national stage.
I wonder if that watered down the attendance and excitement. More than likely it’s just fan attendance is slipping across the board…rising prices, television, etc.
