No “seems” about it!
Maybe this behind-the-scenes footage of the red-shirt process at UVA would help sell the concept?
Oh, but you HAVE to include the clip of the hot young woman gazing at his sculped body in awe.
Bond thread is here @DFresh11
Thank you
Still got that forearm at an angle on his shot, elbow tilted in. Holds it like the ball is way too light, similar to JA his first two years.
After 4 years you would think Chase could slide better though
Yea Leon is still kinda stiff and could be slow mo but kinda pauses in his shooting motion at the top
His elbow was perfectly straight on the dunk.
One of my wishes for the upcoming season is to have Bond and Dunn on the court together every game. I don’t need it to be our starting lineup, I don’t need it to be one of our most used lineups, I just want to see these two guys play together for at least 5 - 10 minutes per game every game.
I hadn’t watched Leon’s B/W highlights in a while:
Okay Leon! I hadn’t seen this video. He reminds me of a smaller Ryan Dunn which I’ll take. His jump shot looked smooth too!
mother of all travels on that last fast break LOL
Liked that little burst to get in position for the jumper.
But seeing Reece to Leon on the fast breaks (despite the potential travel) is:
Not at all. That was a high level catch and finish unless I missed something
What’s interesting is it seems like he likes to pull up going right, but Drive going left. Is that normal?
Thats the Cory Alexander. Normal not sure
Remind me what the biggest concern was with his transition to the ACC. Not making a RS crack - real question because I don’t remember sh** these days
Others may think/recall differently, but I think the biggest question is just shooting. He clearly has the athleticism, he has length and hops, and seems like he’ll be a fully bought in defender that could be a menace. It’s just a question of how consistent can he get his jump shot to be against guys with ACC length and size and can he extend his range out to the college three point line. Folks also felt his offensive game was generally just a little raw overall (but I actually felt a lot of other aspects of it seemed pretty fine, although clearly staff felt like there was plenty to work on during his red shirt year)
It’s been a while, so I may be remembering incorrectly, but when I watched his high school games, he looked very fluid and confident in his jump shot out to the free throw line and a little beyond. But when he’d spot up from three it looked like a different shot somewhat, and he clearly wasn’t as confident in it. I don’t think he has a broken form or anything, it might just be a matter or putting up a crazy number of shots in practice and seeing them go down in games. But who knows. Not all guys become good shooters no matter how hard they work.
This basically:
