That’s why I can’t shoot for Sht around the 3 point line bc I just don’t have the finger/wrist strength and i guess elbow leverage ….

Yeah makes sense fresh….I just would think as a dad or coach u would focus on technique first to develop accuracy and wherever your physical limitations are ….is your range…

Yep that’s why it’s important for kids to use smaller balls and lower baskets at the right ages.
I definitely used some palm at times as I went out to NBA range and beyond. Mostly depended on how much space I had and how quickly I needed to release the shot. If I had time to get fully squared up and put my elbow through the ball then I didn’t use any palm. But if I needed a quicker “flick” release I used some palm to make up for not having my full elbow fulcrum through the ball.

I don’t know sht…but I always taught my son and other kids…the further out u can get the ball into your finger tips…the better shooter you’ll be…maybe I’m wrong…

I hate to be critical…bc I love Reece….but I just don’t see him able to develop into a 40% 3 point shooter in the nba bc his accuracy may have improved last year but his technique didn’t really change…and that extra distance in the nba is significant
