šŸ€ May AAU Live period (2024)/Tony Watch

I was about to say that. Steinour looks quite overmatched in there as the lone big. Expressions looks like they actually have a plan on offense.

I don’t see JWilly on the sideline either. But he is known to be a hider LOL

No UVA mention

Oh boy, Keith’s pull up jumper technique:

Is it unfair that I used to think Keith was a Brogdon type and now I sort of think he might just be Leon Bond lol? I think Stevens might be more like Brogdon or Keels.

J Willy hasn’t seen this morning, 3 games in, but he’s up there somewhere.

It’s kinda unfair to Keith that his team is so much less well-organized than Expressions…he’s not getting the ball in any advantage situations for sure.

I like how Expressions goes about things. They post up to pass mostly and set nice flare screens off-ball, and they move the ball around pretty well for AAU standards. And whoever #0 is on their team can really guard…clean on-ball steal leading to easy run out on the first possession, met a CP3 player at the rim in transition for a clean block.

16Us maybe? Jemison going 3-4 from 3 in the first half in front of Hurley and Oates has me sweating a little… cause like we need that wing and passed on Patton Jr.

On Court 2 at 12:30 Dixon vs Acaden.

I do wonder how much on-ball ability Jemison has…he’s looked good on catch-and-shoot and finishing on cuts/putbacks, but I haven’t seen much on-ball besides bringing the ball up the court some of the time. Aristode definitely has got some ball handling in his game, by contrast.

Jemison is definitely a 3 and D wing all the way. More of an in-between Dunn and Murphy type (athletic but also 3pt shooter).

Would pair nicely with Cofie as that skilled forward at the 3/4 and 4/5 spots

Oh no London Jemison is playing really good again.

The warning sign was always going to be that Tony and UVA was his first power 5 offer a whole year out.

Aristode has been very meh

Jaylen Harrell (#3) with a couple of dagger 3s for Expressions. Looks like a solid big guard/wing.

Isaiah Wilkins is back watching Braylon Mullins this morning (the Indiana kid with the Kyle Guy connection whose dad follows me on Twitter but is also blowing up and we have no chance)

Someone on 247 mentioned Ryan Crotty for Boo Williams. Believe he has been mentioned here once or twice in years past on Dream recruits threads. As of last year he was playing for Holly Springs, Kadin’s HS team (no idea if he switched to an academy or whatnot). Has been putting up really good stats but his 3pt release is kinda slow. He’s like Cade Tyson sorta.

On Takeover, Dixon is #3, right? And AWilly #4?

Acaden #8 on Durant?

Any other players to pay attention to?

From last year @Mr.E.Recruit @Wahooblue

Box score is out so no idea. Jordan Smith the 2026 kid is really good

Oh snap someone on 247 said Ryan Crotty kid actually is transferring to the Miller School. So he’s actually going to be down the street from UVA too.

edit: was already at the Miller school. Transferred last year?

Iowa offered

Smith is #23 on Takeover I think.

Akbar Waheed #0 on Durant.

Super sloppy 1Q, 12-10 Durant. Is Takeover really 7-0 and Durant 2-5?

My only takeaway is that Jordan Smith can get up.

Christian Gurdak for Takeover is very much a no-nonesense, no-flash pure center, but he’s pretty good at it. Nice touch from the post and use of angles.
