Jordan Smith Jr is putting up numbers…almost 23 ppg on 65% from 2, with 4 apg to go with it. He’s only 6’3" with that super high 2P%, by the way…monster athlete. Doesn’t seem like he can shoot (so far)…but maybe he doesn’t need to?

Does anyone know first hand if HS recruits are hearing less from colleges due to the portal/NIL era?
going to see my nephews play at “DMV Live” in baltimore. It’s run by something called Made Hoops. Anyway is this a lower level tournament or will there be any UVa targets there? My nephews team is playing Team Loaded 757 tomorrow but thinking it might be a B or C team or whatever. I know nothing about AAU hoops so thanks for educating me.

My parlor game this time of year is to find comedy in teams’ names, I’ve got:
- Beauchamp Elite: Dude is on a two-way right now, not exactly a premier player
- Mikel Brown Jr Elite: That’s a first for me…naming a team after an incoming college freshman?
- Team Mookie Betts: We are naming teams after baseball players now?
- Expressions Elite: Least hype name, every year

I don’t know, been surfing through the Adidas games. Haven’t seen Odom there but for some reason one court isn’t being streamed and that’s where Deron Rippey is playing.
An assistant was reported watching TN Impact (Trey Thompson).
