Showed my cousin visiting the US for the first time around NYC. 2nd night we stayed at a close family friend’s up in Irvington and the drive up there along the Hudson during sunset was gorgeous
Meanwhile in Polish rugby they are apparently still biting people.
Had a former player come off the pitch with this fun mark over the weekend.
I thought… “what happens in the scrum… stays in the scrum.”
It happened in a maul off a lineout
And honestly biting is the one offense that’s just unforgivable. That and eyegauging. Punches kicks etc are frowned upon but we all accept it. Biting has no place.
I havent heard of something like that in 15 or 20 years. Its always some mythical story an old boy tells you about when they first started playing in the 80s
Shiiiiit Happy Birthday my brother! Doin it right
Happy late birthday Dragon
I just got assigned to referee a Trinity Episcopal vs St Anne’s Belfield soccer game in a few weeks as STAB is traveling to Richmond. Any intel on how well STAB is doing this year? @ElliottHoo ?
Many happy returns, Dragon!
I haven’t seen them play this season but I’m told they’re very middle of the road. They’ve mostly beaten the bad teams but lost to the good ones which kinda supports that.
The sheer number of VA private schools named “Episcopal” is out of control. They’ve already played Episcopal High School and Virginia Episcopal in back to back games, now they’ve got Trinity Episcopal coming up. I’d like some more creativity.
How about all the Grace Baptist named private schools? There are a LOT.
I just got assigned another private HS game and the away team is Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy… I’m having a bit of cognitive dissonance on that name.
Wow, you aren’t kidding about Grace Baptist. Including elementary schools and “Academies” I’ve found 7 so far in the triangle between NoVA, Charlottesville and Richmond
… and I believe I’ve refereed EVERY single one… because everytime that name shows up on my schedule… I keep thinking I know the team… but I show up to the game and it is an entirely different team.
The big league track meets are always amusing to me because everyone’s mascot is “Saints”. I mean, literally 60+% of the teams. I always wonder if they all had to pick their mascots simultaneously for some reason and all happened to come up with the same thing, or did a whole bunch of schools independently go: “You know what would be perfect? The same mascot as everyone else.”
Its bullcrap i cant upload direct videos. LoL
I’ve had that complaint for a while too
Is this a young @DFresh11 getting into finance?
