I wanted to talk about hardcore rap and now Sufjan is catching slander but he’s great too. Was just listening to Michigan yesterday He’s had a rough couple of years in his personal life

That said I hope Cofie is listening to Enta Da Stage and The Infamous in between drill and the Decemberists records. It’s all good

My wife absolutely lives for the Friday after Thanksgiving when she can play his Christmas album on repeat and no one can complain (for the first play through, at least).

Classics like “Come on! Lets Boogey to the Elf Dance!”, “Did I make you cry on Christmas? Well, you deserved it”, and my family’s favorite “Its Christmas, lets be glad” (my kids find the lyrics entertaining) are fun the first time through, but then rapidly get grating to me.

That was SNL’s funniest skit in years.

I’ve been on Boeing 787s before… but first time one sat by the window and able to dork arouns with the dimmable window… its pretty cool… unlike the first time i was in the A380 and it just felt like another plane.

This is why I read the off topic threads. I will be dropping knowledge on my next delta flight from the exit row. Well done boys!

For the Final Four, the best travel plan we could find was Dulles to Fargo via Denver and then we’d drive 4 hours from Fargo to Minneapolis. The day before the trip, they replaced the IAD-DEN equipment with a Dreamliner. I’d never flown on a 787 before (or since), but it was a really nice plane. Back then I had low level status on United and managed to upgrade us to the second set of coach bulkhead seats. This becomes important later.

So we board at Dulles and then wait. This was the first revenue flight for this aircraft. I think they needed to get it to Denver to position it for flights to Hawaii or something. But there was a 3 hour delay because one of the inflatable seat belts in business class wasn’t working right and had to be repaired. I was absolutely sure we were gonna miss our connection to Fargo and was looking up flights from Denver to anywhere close to Minneapolis or how long it would take to drive from Denver. We flew out on Friday, so we didn’t have a lot of time and our flight was the last one of the day to Fargo.

Well, we landed in Denver with about 5 minutes to make our connection, so we ran from our gate to the Fargo gate, but it turned out United held the flight to Fargo (and other last flights out I think) for about 5 of us on my flight. I got upgraded to first class on the Fargo flight and asked for a beer as soon as I sat down.

Short flight to Fargo, picked up the car rental, stopped by someplace to eat that was still open close to midnight, noticed the piles of snow still on the ground in early April, got to the hotel and crashed. Drove to Minneapolis the next morning and watched Kyle Guy sink 3 free throws to put us in the National Final.

I’ve still never watched either the Auburn or Texas Tech TV broadcasts. I know they’re on YT. I should watch them sometime instead of the useless games we’re playing now.

But your guys’ posts about flying on 787s made me reminisce and I just wanted to share.
