So I took my son to TopGolf for his birthday last week. First time Iāve been there in at least 20 years.
Two days later I am in Montgomery, AL for a conference (crazy draft beer laws there @BDragon)ā¦
Apparently my server did not like my tip as they took my credit card number and endded up going on a spree. Aunti Annies, Burtonās Grilll (your place @JBHoo?), Ho Wah, dude got his car washed, Annaās Pizza, The Boathouse, $1400 at FloorandDecor, $500 at NFLShops.comā¦
ā¦ and the crazy partā¦ my bank fraud dept never caught it.
Moral of the story: donāt go to TopGolf.

Birmingham is a strange city but itās on the come up.
I used to live 1/4 mile from the original Top Golf in the US and it was an awesome place to pop into on a Friday when you take off work early. The modern version of it is mid at best. Sucks your card got stole better start tipping better.
Also love that whoever stole your card went the Mall food court and then bought tiles for their bathroom

Not sure where else to put this so figured this would workā¦ we just switched from having YouTube tv with a bunch of apps to Disney+ bundle with hbo and the new espn unlimited. In the hour Iāve had it everything seems to be working well (espn app has a rep of sucking) and it looks like Iām going to be saving a bunch of money.
Has anyone tried this yet?

First Iāve heard of it.
Solves the espn issue but leaves network games, CW, ACC-network (or is that included?), plus any games that are on our opponentsā networks like FS1, NBC Sports, Turner networks, etc.

CW was an issue with YTTV as well, I got one of those digital analogs for those last year. ACC is included, and then from there you supplement with other appsā¦ paramount gets cbs, peacock gets nbc and then fox just dropped a new app thatāll cover anything on Fox networks.
I guess it depends on how much streaming you do, we already had most of the services anyway so switching to this saves me compared to what I was paying. If you donāt do much streaming it may not be as cost effective

I think thereās a ESPN-Fox bundle deal too, if thatās important to you.
Iāve just hooked up a digital antenna for OTA broadcasts on the CW, ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. YMMV depending on how far you live from the broadcast towers and the terrain near your house.

Thatās supposed to released around October 1st but I couldnāt find any info on it. Probably will be slightly cheaper because Fox One is more expensive than HBO individually but I feel good about where Iām at to have access now.

I got one of these a while back for live local sports. Reception was generally solid.
What shocked me was the amount of random OTA channels there were that were effectively low-luster themed cable channels. It was like opening a time capsule and finding the proto-History Channel, etc.
Thereās another one that, near as I can tell, exclusively airs Americaās Funniest Home Videos filtered for pet videos only. This runs virtually all day and makes my living room feel like the lobby of an urgent care.
