This is about as stress free of a matchup as you can get. NC A&T is badddddd
Things I’d like to see:
- Rohde asserting himself offensively
- Buchanan building on his Fl performance but also getting less minutes, leading to:
- Minor getting extended run for his confidence
- Bond playing 20-25 minutes

Shaquille ONeal at JPJ for the Texas Southern game (since his son is on the team)?
Also good for Johnny Jones. Dude was a travisty at LSU, Ben Simmons be damned. Seems like he has Texas Southern as a Dayton staple for the 16 seed play in during March.
A&T might be the worst team we have played in the Tony Bennett Era. Grambling st worse?

Pretty much what I’m looking for too. This team looks very bad and small. Should be able to get some good minutes for both Bond and Minor.

We played a really bad Coppin State team in 2018-19, beat them by almost 60. Looking at Kenpom they ended up ranked 342nd in the country that year.

A&T is bottom 10 in Kenpom. Will likely be the worst team we play all year.

I agree with all of this. In particular I would like to see extensive minutes for Minor so he can get in a rhythm, gain some confidence, and perhaps earn some good will with the coaching staff. There’s definitely a role for him, but he won’t earn it riding the bench.

Feels like he might have a role to play on this team during big boy hoops. Loved Blake in the Fla game, but feels like it’d be good to have another grown man in the post.

Honestly I don’t put a lot of stock in Torvik…just my preference. #23 at KenPom.

I echo your sentiment about Minor - if he’s not up to snuff Tony won’t play him regardless, but I expect he is serviceable enough to see the court alongside Taine tomorrow night, and I do hope its not just garbage time minutes. There isn’t a whole lot we can deduce from such a match up, but we may still get a feel for his movement, motor, hops, & form.

Remind me. Is there a certain point in the season that he removes the preseason ranking?
Both Torvik and KenPom slowly phase out the preseason ranking element. I think it’s all the way out by sometime in January (at least for KenPom). The difference is that Torvik’s interface lets the user set the date to the beginning day of the season, thereby removing the preseason adjustment. In the pic below, just move the start date to Nov 6 (default is Nov 1)

Thanks! I’m way too lazy to do that myself. I just let you guys do the work and post it here for me. 
But I did want to know when those numbers became just season numbers. Makes sense to phase it out to avoid a crazy shift in the results.
