Watching Michigan State. Miss those 2013-2016 teams we had that big athletic guys at all positions. Never made the final 4 with that group but they made it hard on teams. The game has changed a lot but if we can get some of that athleticism and size back I feel like we’ll be half way there.

Creighton is so good offensively.
But horrific on the defensive end. Forgot that they got absolutely demolished by Colorado State in the non-con.

I think the key going forward is to get those athletes and then take advantage of the athleticism by extending the packline and adding more off ball pressure (what Dick Bennett has been telling Tony to do for a couple years now). Allow this team to force some more turnovers, get out in transition a little bit, and run teams off the three point line.

Creighton & UVa are good examples of why basketball (at least college) needs OC’s & DC’s like football.

Really tough to run them off the perimeter though. Their entire offense is predicated around generating open looks from 3, they back cut to the paint and then immediately kick it back out. It’s an insane dedication to living and dying by the jumper.

Arizona/Long Beach St. was fun in the first half, but now Zona is on a 17-2 run to start the 2nd.
