I donât see Duke beating Houston if they played like they did today.
Iâm gonna go with YESSSS
Hahah love it.
I will be rooting for the ACC in the Final Four. Go â â â â.
Cue up that tweet that showed this yearâs 4 1 seeds all being like top 10 Kenpom teams in last decade.
Chalk. Will be interesting to see final 4
Jesus MSU shooting lol.
Auburn-Mich State is a clone of Houston-Tennessee.
Michigan Stateâs young guards are missing the additional pass that is there and instead going into a forced drive.
Overall this tournament has sucked
Man it really is about to be four 1 seeds in the F4. Although tbh the matchups this coming weekend should be sublime. Wouldnât anticipate any blowouts like we saw today and yesterday, all 4 of these teams are exceptional and could very conceivably win it all
The golf tournament just got interesting
Very few close games. And those few were often late East Coast time. A lot of pundits are saying the hoops is high level, but itâs not that compelling when the games arenât that close.
Iâd say this weekend maybe qualifies as average. First weekend was boring.
Similar on the Womenâs side; just saw both 1 seeds advance today (Go Dawn!) with a pair of 1-2 matchups tomorrow left.
hopefully if some guardrails come to the sport combined with no more covid eligibility this will be a one-off kind of tourney. The tournament is a massive event precisely bc of how unpredictable it is, thatâs what draws casuals in. As a die-hard, I prefer blockbuster matchups in the later rounds, but the upsets are what makes it such a spectacle
Need a healthy mix of both (upsets and heavyweight fights). Maybe this one will get goodâŚ
Playing time used to be the biggest currency which caused more dispersal of talent⌠now currency is the biggest currency which allows the biggest-richest programs to hoard talent on their benches making 3/400k per as an 8th man
Or at UVA 650K as a 12th man
Jase Richardson is really good
I mean I think thatâs a smaller part of it than others. The no-sit transfer rule is the primary reason why the disparity has grown bc now the top mid major players are going to high majors instead of staying. Money will always rule, but kids still wanna play. This is their dream after all and they wanna make a career out of it, theyâll go where they can play instead of riding the bench for a marginally better paycheck rn
