Cause they’re betting on themselves to be the one that breaks into the starting rotation. Let’s see how guys who were getting no playing time this year transfer out after the tournament
After Duke’s season last year 7 guys transferred out. Other than Mitchell and Roach (who were both starters), all of them left bc of playing time. There’s no way of knowing for sure, but I don’t personally buy that Schutt is getting paid more at VT than he was at Duke, or Stewart at Ohio State, etc.

I hate to say it, but these games are probably just window dressing for Duke’s title.
Sort of like last year with UCONN (and year before that for that matter), they are just running through teams without much contest.

Can’t help but root for MSU here. The Pearl stink on Auburn is too much, even though I find Broome both amazing and likeable.

I could def see Duke blowing through Houston like they’ve done so far, but both Auburn and Florida can absolutely beat them. If Duke beats one of those 2 in the final it’ll be highly competitive at the very least. Remember Auburn was the no.1 overall seed and for good reason too
Yeah I originally thought Florida could contend with them, but watched each of Florida’s games and think they’re going to struggle defensively. Really fun to watch though.
Hadn’t watched much Auburn until now…yeah, they may be able to challenge/beat Duke. So much size and athleticism - they make Michigan State look like a mid major.

Michigan State shots at the rim are at a real premium. Multiple misses there, thanks to Auburn defense.
I broke my own rule picking Sparty to make it to the Final 4, they’re so tough and athletic but you gotta be able to shoot the ball at least a little bit to make it to the final weekend.
So - MSU is down 10, but I’m so hoping that Auburn is about to get introduced to a loss down the stretch (ala UVA) at their hands. No other rooting interest, so I’ll root for Auburn’s pain, b/c they still won’t shut their yappers about Ty Jerome.

So clearly this is all headed toward a nightmare Duke vs Auburn championship game. And I’ll have to root for Duke just to keep Auburn’s envy/hatred of UVA alive.
