Iām only placing Grant this low because Iām almost positive I saw he was very close to retiring. Donāt want a known short timer getting the job. If thatās false and he has another decade in him Iād have him 2nd as well.
Think mine would be about the same. Grant/Capel/Rhoades are all fairly interchangeable in my mind just in terms of excitement level. I view all of them as really solid coaches with a fair share of downsides.

Iām still on the boat of hiring a successful coach from another sport and another continent a la Ted Lassoā¦ all he would have to do is say motivational stuff and be positive all the time and UVa would win a National Championship in 3 years. I know because my TV show told me so.
Iāve decided my vote would be for Sir Alex Ferguson. Honestly, i think heād figure out how to win if you gave him enough time.

Yeah I already screwed up not putting it in the VIP thread lol. Already probably said too much, but with the way this season has been (depressing), I wanted to share the positive stuff I heard. I wish I could say more, but I donāt want to be part of the reason this gets screwed up and our program becomes mediocre or worse.

Typically ātier 1ā coaches are in the power 5, but I would also include guys like Brian Dutcher for example as ātier 1ā, so depends on the guy. And no I wasnāt referring to Dutch when I posted. Heās gonna retire at SDSU.
