Agreed. Never thought this team lacked talent (though obviously Power was worse than expected), they just needed to gel, and their poor play was part of why Iāve been antiRon.
Tonight didnāt change my mind, but it was the first step towards doing it.

This has nothing to do with Ron. Iām just saying that UVAās basketball history isnāt very impressive. Thatās all. Donāt read too much into it.

Yes. And thatās NOT easy to get that type of improvement with a coach that has an interim tag and 2 PGs bailing weeks before the season.
Honestly, the improvement since the west coast disaster has been remarkable. Too bad a lot of fans were busy hating on Ron to enjoy it.

Cāmon now. I think this take is a slap in the face to the character of this team. Do you think Andrew Rhode & Blake Buchanan went through all last year not caring, and just suddenly decided to start playing to their potential?
What have Ames, Robinson, Cofie, Sharma EVER proved going into this year?
This team is extremely young & development takes good coaching and time.
People are just going out of their way to deny the improvement in hopes UVA ditches Ron. It makes zero sense.

Itās possible for me to be a UVA fan and still be realistic and objective.
While UVA was celebrating their 2nd round NCAA losses, one Sweet 16 appearance, and NIT championship (which is a nice way of saying they missed the tourney) UNC & DUKE were busy going to Final Fours and hanging National Championship banners.
