  1. If you notice, Mike White wasn’t at the top of my list. He was near the bottom.

  2. I was using selective editing to make a point and you are one of the few people on here that would actually catch that.

  3. Forget Shaka. He’s a bad choice. Going forward, it’s going to take a mixture of development and portal for UVA get back near the top of the league. The strictly development thing isn’t going to cut it. Shaka can’t make a deep tourney run with this year’s Marquette team.

Ron is just so clearly a beta. It’s ok - lots of people are, and it’s a crucially important role to fill - but he’s just not meant to lead a program like an alpha might. Let’s be up front and honest about that.

I don’t want to waste years of our program (and years of my life) letting a beta play pretend at being an alpha.

Like I said, UCLA would never embrace his style of play. They bitched throughout Ben Howland’s tenure. The UCLA brass must not care, because they have also offered Rick Barnes, flirted with Jamie Dixon, and currently employ Mick Cronin. So there’s that.

LSU & Indiana make sense. Those schools are desperate for a winner.
