Medved is a really really good coach. His teams get better like this every year, always put it together. Is he good enough at building and managing a programā¦shown great consistency, thatās coaching to me. But heās been in places long enough to max out, and his max out point hasnāt been particularly high. Makes him a good hire for a program that values being good but not one who has expectations of even occasional greatness.

No clue if this account is any good lol
Me filling the time I used to dedicate to UVA basketball if we hire Richard Pitino or Niko Medved:
āThereās three rules that I live by: Never get less than 12 hours of sleep, never play cards with a guy whoās got the same first name as a city, and never go near a lady whoās got a tattoo of a dagger on her body.ā - Coach Bobby Finstock
Pretty sure thereās a city named Niko somewhere ā someplace in Japan or Russia or Ukraine.
All time lineā¦we need to revive the best movie line thread
NikkÅ is a city in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan.
New name dropping soon
Zirkleās backā¦where ya been? And how is he a thief @DFresh11 haha
I picked this up today for my Hoo cave. Made by some local artist called āTides Inn Tony.ā If itās not Odom, I think I may have wasted my money.
To be honest, I think this is the exact coach Minnesota needs. Someone who can win basketball games consistently and make people say maybe Minnesota isnāt such a terrible job after all. Once that happens, you can then start looking for a coach that can have the occasional great year, but Minnesota needs to start with not being picked to finish last or near last in the Big 10 every year.
Ha. I forgot why. Maybe he told us he stole the tobasco sauce at Arbys one time or some shit like that
@HoozGotNext supports the drive for 10k!
FWIW Some insiders on the Nova 247 board seem to think theyāre going with Collins
I tipped off a very well sourced Marquette friend on @chavlicek15ās story. He got back to me the next day saying Villanova has talked to Shakaās agent (UVA too). So I really do expect Villanova to give that a try. Story is pretty close to what @USSoccer13 has said. Shakaās agent is receptive but Shaka himself wonāt talk until the seaon ends. Can see why that would be an issue for UVA but for Villanova at this point, why not.
As others here have said, Shaka is building a new house in Milwaukee. And Marquette plans to match any offer. So they expect him to stay. NIL is the weak spot thereā¦theyāre very limited. Shaka may not have a big problem with that though.
Impossible⦠the Big East fan base couldnāt possibly be wrong that their revenue sharing structure will crush all P4 conferences.
So the ādonāt talk to agentsā thing is more like ābecause we donāt have any more moneyā rather than something else?
Thatās what the story said. Limited NIL collective and you get what you get. Take it or leave it.
Kolek had an agent for his non-Marquette (official) NIL, for example.
The agents part is only for dealing with the collective.
This changes my feelings on Shaka slightly. I totally took it as him moreso kicking back against the NIL world. If heās actually open to it and itās a Marquette issue not a Shaka issue I put him back above Pitino. Still prefer Odom though.
That headline is so misleadingā¦a conspiracy theorist would say timed to be a hit job to scare other schools away. Heās just telling his players that hiring an agent to deal with their collective is a waste of money, thatās all. He didnāt say they canāt have agents, just that thereās no upside to it in the negotiations he has a say in.
This is correct. NIL agents for collectives is a total
scam.
