I still think its Odom but I will be paying attention to the UC Irvine/UCSD game tonight. And am more open to Medved with how Colorado St is playing right now.

On Chris Collins, Ive seen the Villanova forums gassing him up and there is merit to the argument he is a good coach.
But I cannot do a Dukie as our next head coach. I was led astray with the Capel interest. I refuse for my beautiful grounds to serve as a satellite camp for that evil empire

Was literally about to come say âBreak glass in case of emergencyâ would be taking a loan out from Paul Tudor Jones and throwing the kitchen sink at not Bryce Drew but Scott Drew. We know he has inquired and showed interest in leaving Baylor and Charlottesville could win his wife over. The hurdle is the dying ACC but butts load of NIL and money can help
Iâm actually a hard no on Shaka now with his agent comments. Would rather gamble with the unknown or give Bryce Drew his 2nd chance. The agent comments are a turn off; I donât want a coach to necessarily play the game hard but it would be foolish not to acknowledge it

The Reddit comments under the announcement have me nervous even though I assume they know less than us. Gonna be a tough couple of weeks if they donât move on Collins or someone fast.

No I agree with that! The Big East does not make enough money through their media deal to do this. The football revenue is a huge portion of all of this, but you can theoretically just funnel donations through the school and fire the money cannon at guys up to $20m if you have it. Villanova might? Who knows what theyâre putting out there to potential candidates
But $7m available for NIL is really great! Iâm not sure theyâre doing substantially better than that.
In 21-22 Nova got like $7m total in distribution from the Big East. We got nearly $40m from the ACC that year.

There is no scenario in which we should take Bryce Drew over Pitino if for whatever reason Odom/other top guys arenât in play.

Yeah Bryce Drew doesnât interest me at all. Talent accumulator succeeding with a vast resource gap, completely let that Vandy team fall apart after key injuries. Not a UVa guy at all imo.

I donât love how he left Drake. Told the AD he wouldnât interview for CSU, then interviewed. Then he told the AD he wasnât taking the job, then took the job the next day. Doesnât sit right with me.
