Sorta related but who was the JMU AD that hired Byington and Cignetti? Should they be our next AD? Or whoever is hiring the VCU or Drake basketball coaches

But they are hiring coaches that eventually ball out at the power 4 level before they get there. Need that foresight
But we’re trying to survive the next round of conference realignment. We need to get ourselves to the SEC/BIG10 super league.
Whatever it takes to get there is what we need. And that’s probably going to be someone with connections in those leagues.

Carla being previously at Georgia hasn’t done anything for us to this point. But of course leaving the ACC is tricky…
Honestly I think both major conferences at this point don’t care about connections or competitiveness. They are essentially strictly looking for $$$ to add to the high level competition wise teams they already field. It’s why UNC/UVA is the most attractive combination not currently in one of the 2 leagues. Open up 2 new states for viewership. Personally think we’ll be fine but it is stressful to wait out.

Offseason going to be so crazy on here. Coach search alone might break the site, then you’ll have all but everyone entering the portal. That’s all going to happen before we even get to transfer recruiting which will be filling 2x as many spots as we’ve ever needed to fill. Gonna be wild!
But I’m honestly ready for a new era. Not going to get too attached to anyone on this year’s team and just hope for some fun moments along the way. Will sting to likely see a guy like iMac play for another team, but a reset is very much in order
