Oh, fudge, put his name back on!
Sorry, I read that too quickly on my morning commute. English was talking about Hopkins, not JAR.
Sorry @JoeBoxley. Sorry @Jerome

Jabri has continued to show off the odd skill of drawing FTs without shooting 2P shots. Currently has attempted 27 FTs to 6 2Ps.
Would we have been in on or even have a shot at Dusty May last Spring? Or is Michigan a no brainer better job than ours?
I think no brainer better job unfortunately. Really good NIL, brand, history.
He’s an Indiana kid who graduated from IU, who’s never been in the Mid-Atlantic so he probably would’ve picked Michigan.
Not directly comparable but he picked Michigan over Louisville.
I might have to get aboard the Mike Rhoades train
That’s the one @HoozGotNext wants right? (along with Byington)
I’m on the Rhoades train too. They have a legitimately good offense this season, they’re playing pretty fast and continue to heat up the ball well, so there would be a stylistic palette cleanse, if you value such a thing. Penn St seems like the kind of P5 school that we could poach from (e.g. he’s had to appeal to fans publicly to come to games this season).
Rhoades has a senior laden team, not dissimilar to Ryan Odom at VCU. If we hired Rohades I could see us taking the big man Neiderhauser and Freddie Dilione. They do have a pretty good recruiting class coming in though that includes Mason Blackwood who we offered.
$12M buyout this year per the googles
Gonna have to find a third family to team up with Dean and Markel.
@UVApride7 Kayden Mingo would be nice to bring along too, if we’re making requests.
Get that football donor to help again. We move.
Would love Rhoades. Watched PSU against VT a little after we beat Villanova and they were so much fun to watch. Played fast and confident, but also heated up VT and forced a billion turnovers.
Gimme Bucky and I’m good
Outside the box name who I wonder if we’d consider- Chris Collins. On his 12th year at NW, potentially on pace to make his third tourney in a row. Might view our job as a similar academic profile, with a leg up in terms of resources. Not necessarily the biggest fan, but seems like the kind of establish HC we might aim for if the top candidates are misses.
Regardless of whether we’d want him (I don’t), he’s a Chicago kid and I doubt he’d want to coach against Duke on the reg.
If I were him, I’d stay put and stay with a fan base that will be stoked to get to the tourney every few years.
I would be a pass, outside of being a scum of the earth K disciple there’s just too much mediocrity on his resume. I understand Northwestern is a difficult place to have success but a win percentage of .510 and 7/11 seasons with a record below .500 just wouldn’t do it for me.
Rhoades Moser Shaka or we get a Paul Tudor to buyout Byington
My fingers are crossed for Shaka. I think he’d be a great fit and bring some new energy (and offense) to UVA.
hope this is a big hire one that inspires some pride post-natty. Instead post colorado state and continuing into this season, we are the laughingstock of the tourney/cbb
