Headed over to AFC for vball now?

I’m trying to scout ahead to pick a good weekend to get kids to a bunch of games this season.

Volleyball not doing as well vs. BC.

Yea, been hoping they’d make a jump like softball did last year, seemed like they had some good non-con wins, but tough sledding lately

Lost second set when up 24-20… pooping the bed.

Just giving you more bang for your buck today Jazz

I Hope Please GIF

Yeah… shut out… did not look good. Girls lose to BC… 3-0

Probably doesn’t help volleyball that they are homeless this year. I believe they are practicing at North Grounds (or maybe Slaughter?) and then home games are at JPJ and AFC. I saw someone say the depth perception and brightness of the AFC takes some getting used to, but they never practice there, so they don’t even really get that home court advantage.

think I heard that on Coach Well’s Wahoo Central Podcast interview. Definitely a valid note to their challenge this year.

from what I’ve noticed on other boards, VB has had some injuries to significant players the past handful of matches after a great start.

Aside from that, fantastic to see the performance of other teams to start the year. So excited to see football become relevant and the anticipation for hoops, too.

Women’s Swimming isn’t guaranteed at all, but positioned to win a 6th straight national championship with serious summer performances, talent and depth despite the loss of the Walshes.

Men’s Swimming has the #1 recruiting class on grounds now, so they will hopefully rise as well.

Hoos wound up with the 2-1 win to get the Commonwealth Clash point. Great cap to the day.

As someone who’s mainly a hoops, secondarily football, and then playoff baseball and Memorial Day weekend lacrosse fan, I appreciate this service.

appreciate the schedule.

huge field hockey match Friday at home against UNC. Posting that is a first for me - not that I haven’t always rooted for any UVA team from at least a distance!

big swim meet at Florida, too…first in the post-Walsh era for the Women and for the 1st-year Men.

Have been really impressed by MSOC’s first-year forward Nicholas Simmonds. Richmond-area guy who wasn’t a nationally-ranked recruit but has been instant impact (5G, 1A in 10 matches). He looks the part, he’s big and he’s got the speed to run away from guys.
