Incredible bracket design:
I think this is actually close to the right thing to do if you’re a 1-bid league? Maximize your chance your good teams go to the tournament and make the regular season matter a lot more.

Even if one goose is missing, the bracket will still keep that formation.
Happy cake day to one of the funniest posters here. Thanks for the great contributions and the timely laughs.
They have a 7 day tournament with 2 games a night and the ACC is opposed to adding a 5th day that would allow all the teams to participate.
It’s so good. The only improvement I could make would be to have the structure be dynamic depending on how much better the top teams were than the rest of the league. Got a clear top tier of 4 teams? They all get a bye to the quarters. Have one that’s way better than the rest? To the finals you go, buddy, you earned it.
Tough part with this bracket is the tournament duration. Holding an arena that long kinda requires holding it in a place like Pensacola.
I love what the format does for conference games though. Every game matters when a close loss means an extra game later for a ticket to the dance.
I just noticed Kansas isn’t ranked…hadn’t paid close attention to realize they had fallen off.
Last time KU finished unranked? 2000, Roy Williams was the coach. Insane.
Higher seed hosts on campus for like the first 3-4 rounds seems like the move. Maybe even just the semis and finals at a neutral site?
If a lower seed makes a run it could mean something like 5 games in 5 days in 5 different cities.
As a thought exercise, agreed.
In practice, almost assuredly a nothing burger.
This Tenn Alabama game is nutso
Posted this before the last shot. Wow
Tennessee for the win. I know the guy hit a 30 footer but you wanna try to play some kinda defense there right haha They just let him dribble up and take his time lining up a shot.
college basketball rules and all of you “i only watch uva” are missing out.
Oats and his analytics. Works against not the real teams.
Nah - the way to do it is set up pods for first 2 days at the sites of highest seeds for those rounds.
Then day off for travel to quarterfinals
lol - missing what exactly?
Give me salary caps and a 2 year minimum stay required at a school for any non senior who accepts NIL dollars.
Individual Cap for all freshmen just like NBA rookies because they haven’t done anything yet.
Free transfers allowed for anyone not accepting NIL dollars.
Tennessee will more than likely be my high seed early upset pick.
Raftery is the best in the business as far as I’m concerned.
