Florida for sure. We need that quad 1 win.

I think we should cheer for Florida to lose by 1

What an ending here in UK. I’d like a UF win for sure.

Huge win for Florida

Reed Sheppard is getting projected as a Top 5 pick in some mocks. Crazy.

Florida win definitely helps. I don’t get the NET to understand how much but a big Quad 1 win for them has to help us a bit.

That said, this was my first time watching extended minutes of Reed Shepherd. Dude is impressive. I don’t necessarily see top 5 as some are projecting but I’m no expert. But imagine a backcourt of Reece, Reed, and iMac. Would be a small line up but the shooting?! Goodness.

I was shocked to see 5th year senior Kevin mccular going 7th overall in that ringer mock draft

I feel like in a weak class you want to draft as young as possible. How old is this guy, 23?

He’ll be 23 in march. I imagine you’d have to go back quite a while to find a guy that old going in the top 10.

Here we talk about trying to soften the hedge while Houston is out here looking at the hard hedge and thinking “needs to be even more aggressive”:

This works because their bigs are always these super mobile 6’7”-6’8” guys and they decide that they are just going to make playing two non-shooters in the frontcourt work in order to have more rim protection behind the blitz (their two most common frontcourt pairings involve players who have attempted a collective total of two three-pointers this season).

They do have some wild close out distances by design for their help defenders, but the frenzy is fun to watch (when it’s not happening to us).

Always fun to look up each team’s free throw rate stats when this kind of things happens.

Purdue: #14 in offensive free throw rate, #8 in defensive FT rate.
Northwestern: #313 in offensive FT rate, #327 in defensive FT rate.

Northwestern gave up a FT rate of 80.7 against Purdue, which is a whole lot, but in their previous game they gave up a FT rate of 80.5 against OSU. It just didn’t really make the news because they won by a ton and Collins didn’t have any late game theatrics.

Wonder where Collins learned that performative BS… of course it coulda been his dad, too. Don’t know his rep
