Where is this game at? It has Hall of fame on the center court

Internet says this is at Mohegan Sun. But it’s branded with Basketball Hall of fame

Mahaney with a three and a tough finish. However find myself liking what I saw in Bliss more during the scrimmage. McKneely (Ours, not theirs) is a got 3pt shooter but I wish he could drive like Bliss and Mahaney and attack the rim a little.

UConn is a better team than we are right now and its cause they have multiple guards who can get down hill and playmake. Warley is more crafty but without a 3pt shot; and rohde is way too passive compared to these uconn guards. Really need both Bliss and Dai Dai to emerge in the pg battles, especially since we need one of them to be the captain of the 2025-2026 ship. Think them coming out on top of Rohde even raises this year’s ceiling. Still a believer that once Bliss gets healthier he will emerge like Perrantes and Jerome did.

Isaiah Abraham last in the rotation AND showed an athletic block. 100% gonna redshirt and then transfer to UVA to be that 3 and D wing that pairs beautifully with Cofie at the 3/4 + 4/5 and develop behind Power and Saunders

Oh wow, he really would be perfect in that way, huh? UConn probably won’t shirt him though, they didn’t shirt Jayden Ross who was never really gonna get any time for them with that roster last season.

Which is a shame. McKneely Karaban Ross Stewart seem set in stone as their 3/4 rotation.

Was high on Isaiah Abraham and then he had a meh aau season/was okay passing on him as that sole 2024 forward addition and not really a guard. But then he played solid during HS season and our roster is still itching for that complimentary wing to cofie long term.

Hoping that 30% playing time redshirt kicks in and is retroactive. Gertrude may or may not qualify too/have 4 years left maybe? Would have to look it up.

While we complain that we can’t get a live stream of the Blue-White scrimmage, UNC plays an exhibition on ESPNU.

Yeah, there are a lot of these this year

I would take our 3-4-5 over theirs.

Power Saunders Buchanan >> Karaban McKneely Samson.

They just have better playmaking at the 1-2. No real popping nba talent like Clingan and Castle last year

Lol

But the real reason they’re better is they have a coach who doesn’t ruin the psychology of their shooters, doesn’t always use the wrong lineups, believes in data analytics, wears his hat backwards, uses curse words, promises playing time to recruits, and hates dogs children and old people. We gotta get us one of them.

The mentality of any healthy person. Kinda wild that we struck the lottery in the worst way here

I’m excited for Power, Saunders, and Buchanan but absolutely not lol. Karaban alone is more accomplished than all three of our guys.

Accomplished sure but in terms of actual talent he’s not that great. Hence him coming back for a third year.

He’s not a super hero. He’s just someone who can hit a three here or there off Clingan’s gravity or Castle/Newton’s creation. No real NBA skillset or something he’s uniquely talented at.

Karaban doesn’t have the upside Saunders or Power have.

Uh… maybe, but Karaban is statistically very good at basically everything.

Karaban would be the best player on our roster.

Hard disagree.

A sub 50%, 37% from 3, and meh rebounder.

In neither of Uconns runs was he a big three type.

Hes good for his role. Power and Saunders have pro potential even if vet min/two way guys.

Karaban is like if Braxton was also on our 2018 team and hunter doesnt get injured. A role player on a national title program.

Last year was very much about Castle Newton Spencer and Clingan.

I think Power and Saunders will thrive with opportunity. More concerned about pg play cause thats where we dont come close to uconn at the moment

lol - to pretend we are in the same class as a team who had 76 with 10 minutes left and still scored 100 with reserves in the last 10 minutes.
:grinning_face::rofl::joy:

I also never said we were in the same class. I noted its a giant gap but because of the play that UConn gets at the 1-2.

Don’t think there is that big a gap or gap at all at the 3-4-5. But if our guards and UConn guards were in the same room and one were asked to pick the top 4 guards in the room, good chance the top 4 would be all UConn guards. And in college basketball guards are the engine that makes things go in March
