Bubba Cunningham always sort of strikes me because I donât really think he looks like a Bubba at all.
Just dropping this here

(Help me @jazznutUVA youâre my only hope)
If Getter gets it, thatâd be a nice landing spot for Wilkins and maybe Sodie.
Isaac McKneely if he ever played TCU
If you just read me the post content and didnât show me the screenshot, 99.9% of the time Iâm guessing it was coming from a 247 board.
The username checks out
Itâs a well known fact that Argentines are close to, but not quite, white.
Psht you donât think that poster knows that? Seems super well versed in issues of race. Might even call them a race scientist.
And of course Minnesota announces theyâve fired Ben Johnson at 1:20 AM local time. Couldnât waste a single minute I guess
I thought he was safe? Gotta be Niko as replacement, I guess?
I hope so. Ben is a nice guy and his teams competed hard. Guys genuinely seem to love playing for him. Dawson Garcia took less money to stay for this year but unfortunately other guys didnât, and when youâre four years in and you havenât been on the bubble once, even at Minnesota that shouldnât be enough.
Niko apparently has a dream school clause in his contract, Iâm hoping that dream school is Minnesota!
I guess it turns out Minnesota IS a near-impossible place to win. Time to give Pitino a pass for those years and put him back on top of our list.
(Add: sarcasm⌠maybe ⌠though maybe not?)
Yep - look at all the coaches in Minnesota history âŚ.who has actually done better than him there?
And then you look at all coaches who have been a head coach at a power five school between the ages of 30 and 38 and who has done better than him During that span in their career?
Bennett at Wazzu!
That said, and this may be a controversial take, but if Bennett had stayed at Wazzu long term, would he have faded similarly given Wazzuâs absolute crap profile and resourcing, one of only two Pac-12 schools deemed wholly undesirable by any other P4 conference? Like, are there just schools where even a great coach could never sustain success in a competitive conference because the disadvantages in resourcing and geography (ew Pullman, brr Minneapolis) are just too great to overcome long term? (Could arguably apply to the likes of BC and VT as well⌠such as why Buzz got while the getting was good.)
Iâd say that Tubby did marginally better and Monson did marginally worse.
Have said this before, but Minny was a tough place to win prior to NIL/portal and became impossible because they fell well behind their peers.
