Funny Dakich story (who I’m generally not a big fan of, but this was funny):
Shortly after all the FBI news dropped, it came out that Miami / Larranaga were somehow involved. Seth Greenberg and Dan Dakich used to have a podcast together on ESPN, and Greenberg (who obviously coached with Larranaga here), said something like, “But Dan, aren’t you shocked that Larranage is involved?” And Dakich said something like, “Not at all. I coached against him in the MAC and no, I’m not surprised.” He then sort of softened it by saying that very little would surprise him on this stuff, but the intent of it was pretty clear.
Correction : even worse, Dakich followed Jim L at Bowling Green.

If I remember correctly, UM went to Gatto for $150k to buy Nassir Little. Gatto asked them to try to get the deal done for $100k. Little, of course, ended up going to UNC after the scandal broke. I also vaguely remember UL trying to get more money out of Gatto so they could outbid UM for Balsa Kopravica (Adidas-on-Adidas violence), who ended up at FSU.
