I don’t think i could go to this game because i would have to complain about the offense and defense equally… it would be exhausting.
Uh, I have a suspicion that, ultimately, “we” will be the winners!
Last year we saw the starting lineup for the white team right off the bat in quarter 1.
I would imagine one of the lineups will give us where the staff feels the starting line up is (minus Warley).
My guess is Dai Dai McKneely Power Saunders Buchanan
vs.
Bliss / Sharma / Taine / Cofie / ARob, with Rohde subbing at 1-3.
Starters would be heavily favored, but I bet that game would be big fun to watch. That is, if those of us outside the immediate neighborhood had some way of watching it . . . .
We are gonna get lots or Rohde. Guaranteed. Hopefully he finds his game again this season
Yup! Fairly sure it won’t be a 25 game, 30 MPG leash like last year but there is little reason to think Rohde won’t get a real shot at a starter/6th man role early in the season. Tony clearly likes the idea of the type of skillset Rohde could bring to a team
If the starting lineup was announced today (and everyone was healthy), I would bet that Taine starts over Power. We know from @HoozGotNext that McKneely, Saunders and Buchanan are probably locks to start. So if experience wins out, I think we’re looking at:
1 Warley
2 McKneely
3 Taine
4 Saunders
5 Buchanan
The fun part of this season though is there are so many combinations!!
Want to play with maximum 3pt firepower?
1 Bliss
2 McKneely
3 Ish
4 Power
5 Saunders
Want to go for defensive horsepower?
1 Dai Dai
2 McKneely
3 Warley
4 Saunders
5 Buchanan
Want to give the younguns some run?
1 Bliss
2 Ish
3 Power
4 Cofie
5 ARob
Want to piss everyone off?
1 Rohde
2 Rohde
3 Taine
4 Rohde
5 Lang
Can’t wait for Saturday…
Yes. Group 1 is a lock I would guess
Or
Dante
Rohde
Lang
Dante
Rohde
The most offensively lethal team will be for small ball
At the 1 … JW
At the 2 … IMAC/Taine
At the 3 … Sharma/Taine
At the 4 … Power
At the 5 … Saunders/Cofie (both can step out for the 3)
I would expect the first team to win comfortably
Anyone know if Warley is playing? Cast is off in picture day pics, but that could have been an aesthetic choice, I suppose
I think he’s been practicing with the cast on ala Kihei, etc
Just bought my tickets for the home opener. Pumped is an understatement
I just scooped tickets today to catch the Hoos @SMU
Friday fodder: What are the top 3 things you’ll be looking for at the B/W scrimmage tomorrow? (hypothetically / figuratively if you aren’t going in-person)
Does Isaac McNeely look like the leader and how assertive Taine looks
Forgot to ask earlier. Will the JPJ lot be mostly available for the scrimmage or is it used for student parking outside of the football time?
- How much are they actually pushing in transition?
- How many 3s are they trying to take?
- Does Power-Saunders-Blake/ARob look like a playable combo, especially on defense?
