$29M of that came from the VA Athletics Foundation to the athletic department for capital improvements, so it appears that our numbers are artificially inflated for the year.

Shhhh! Don’t tell the BIG and SEC. We’re clearly 14th in the nation in revenue and an even more attractive expansion target. So attractive they should lock us in before next year’s list comes out.

Clicking through the USA Today list (NCAA Finances: Revenue & Expenses by School - USA TODAY), a fair number of schools have similar things going on with their revenue numbers (listed under “contributions”).

On the other hand, it kind of defies all reason that UVA is legit that high.

None of the private schools that would probably be higher — e.g., SC and Notre Dame — is listed (because they aren’t required to report).

That would be big time for the Rams. They’d probably supplant VT as the 2nd best program in the state if it happened.
Not sure they’re a cultural fit for the BE though. Large state public university in a league with mostly small, private Catholic schools.
