That was a while back but yeah i have 0 trust in the crystal balls at this moment.
If a kid wants to keep the commitment a secret why not just announce it out of nowhere rather than announce a date almost two weeks in advance, ya know? Of course I don’t think others should spoil a kid’s surprise but if someone else wants to I wouldn’t mind benefiting from that since im impatient lol. Although he is a Pukie, I did like how Banchero committed to Duke. Everyone saying Kentucky or Washington or Tennessee and then one day out of nowhere “Nah it’s Duke”.
Chief, a few things fam. Please share your opinion despite being in the minority. One day I will explain why this week made me believe in that theory more than ever. I was trashed for my opinion and J Willy podcast made me drop the mic. I will hit you up. Next, why are people getting mad for you saying that. Whats so wrong about that. Next, its highly probable your statement is true. I will take it a step further. Someone will transfer and I say Justin. Kaufman is a player UVA really want. So I truly believe he can play a huge role in our future. But if I was the coach and kids can repeat a yr. I wouldnt be hurt if he didnt pick UVA. I think the 22 class have guys who have us rank very high and could be as good if not more of a better fit. But this is just an opinion.
I JUST DELETED 54 UVA BASKETBALL GAMES BY MISTAKE 20 MINUTES AGO. I am sick tu my stomach. I could strangle someone. I have a feeling I better get ofg the net. If someone mess with me, I could get banned. SMH
I do agree about the fit from ‘22’s. I would worry about Justin also if we were to get Kaufman. I would potentially worry about Casey, McCorkle, and / or Murray if we were to get Keels. However, we have to raise the talent level when we have the opportunity and create competition.
Im not worried about Casey, Carson or Tre if Trevor committed. All four are different. I mean different in a big way. Casey and Trevor are the closest in my opinion. Casey is a better defender while Trevor is a better shooter. Casey is welcoming Trevor with open arms and Trevor really respect Casey. Yhey would enjoy playing with one another. If Casey repeat this yr it could actually help. It will give Casey more time tu achieve his becoming a pro goal. It should also ease the pressure, of being an upper classman and losing minutes tu a fr. He will be a soph and will have three years tu get minutes instead of tu. He wouldnt feel rush tu blow up. I also think they would form a dynamic backcourt with Reece. Hopefully Casey ball handle will improve. Move him or Trevor tu the point and add Jabri, Murphy and Kaiden. Who could stop that lineup. Especially if TB allow them tu push a little more. Carson should always be that dead eye murderer who also could play pg. Carson also can play off the dribble. I think the issue could boil up, if starting is a priority for any of those players. They all should be able tu establish a role. But if hearing their name when the lineup is announced at the start of the game is a necessity. Than yes, chemistry will become an issue.
If it is keels and it’s to not UVA, here is a breathing mantra you can repeat in your head while taking deep breathes.
“It’s okay. It’s alright. Today is a good day. Today is a day I can rewatch all 6 games from our 2019 run”.
Again half the fan base will say “We have a stacked roster so we are fine either way” and the other half will say “Damn it sucks for us to lose a commit we were heavily recruiting for so long. Feel bad especially for Tony”. Both are true. Ying and yang.
On 247 for 2021 there is only 24 recruits out of the top 100 left uncommitted. Who could it be? Obviously not Kaufman since he is set for Friday I believe. It would be really nice if it was Keels who was ready to commit. I agree with @Foresthoo that it would seem like a Trevor thing to do. He’s been having some fun with his recruitment, and seems to have a real sense of humor. Why not continue playing a guessing game until the very last second for a big reveal moment!
I think it was clutch of me to buy into the “we arent getting anyone in 2021/2022 super team” mentality early. No expectations…
Im lying. If it’s duke its going to be a gut punch no matter what any true comforting words someone says LOL.
We will be fine. The 2021 free market is literally going to be insane with everyone having an extra season and immediate transfer. Heck if we see a midmajor we like we can poach their entire team theoretically. Also Im a fan of a lot of our 2022 prospects. But Today has the potential to suuuuuuck
Might be Damion Collins to Kentucky. I think he was a recruit mentioned in a 247 article as being close to committing and momentum shift from Oklahoma to Kentucky.
