Who thinks this is cool? Does anyone want this option for threads?

I also don’t like the subcomment flow, too many branching options, and how the temporal connection gets broken easily. Don’t think it lends itself to our typical discussion flow. It does work OK (maybe) in places like Reddit, StackOverflow where 90% of the comments are people on some bullsh!t and you don’t want to lose the 10% worth reading. Here, 100% of us are on some bullsh!t so it wouldn’t help.
Maybe it could be useful for HGN’s threads where he’s doing a lot of Q&A and it’s less about general discussion among the rest of us.

This format is better for reacting to news/announcements rather than ongoing discussions in my opinion. And it seems like this board is more fit for discussion-based threads than reactionary ones.

Downvotes and upvotes create a hive mind scenario.
I like the discussion as is. Group tends to reward high effort, funny posts with emoji and show their displeasure with the 
.
Plus think this group is already pretty familiar with each other and handles. There will be certain people that just downvote every post by a user because they generally disagree.
