Eh, the shooting is pretty important. And he pretty much only shot fairly open 3s.
But agree i think he’ll be better in the league than people think in the end.

Prolly better off as a free agent then getting drafted late 2nd
This is probably true but also may be rooted in confirmation bias (is that the right usage of it?). It assumes that he will have multiple options even if he gets passed by teams 60x.
I think the safest option in his case is just getting drafted. Situation may not be ideal but it’s typically (in this day and age) guarantee of some priority for a 2-way spot.
Yeah, getting drafted late by the Kings was about the worst thing that could have happened to Guy. Sure, was nice to get drafted, but he was then stuck for two years with a team that had no idea what it was doing and no real plan for using him.
If he’d gone undrafted, he could have ended up with a team that actually was a fit.
Thought it might have been Miami for that stretch
Second round draft dynamics are a little different, since contracts aren’t slotted, often times the draft decision is a combo of “do we like the player?” and “are they willing to accept the contract we want to offer?”
Yeah, I thought he was going to stick with the Heat. That would have been great.
I’ve said it before, but I think Kyle was just too small for the NBA. Not as in literal height, but he’s so lightweight. There’s very few players in the league his weight/height if I remember correctly.
His offense was a value add, but he’s too easy to abuse defensively at that level. And since he’s a shooting guard without real PG skills, you’d need to pair him with the perfect big PG to compensate, and it just becomes hard to find the right fit. Still impressed by how long he hung around the fringes of the league though, and glad he’s having a seemingly solid career overseas.
Thats cool
Reece playing on ESPN2 in scrimmage. Matched against Bronny. Missed two early. But everyone looks sloppy and bad
Rough combine scrimmage day for Reece off the bench in 14 minutes.
0-4 from the field, 3 fouls, 1 TO. No assists. No FTs.
I have the wingspan (6’3 with 6’7 wingspan). It’s a shame I couple that with zero athleticism and zero basketball skills.
I am guessing that means Reeces wingspan is 5 inches longer than his height?
Man they too try hard to make up “technical” phrases now
What you’re describing is the “technical phrase differential”
Hahahhaha. Got me there
