he’s 100% gone imo barring something unforeseen. The same player from the UM, Baylor, IL stretch is there where he shot up draft boards to like 30 and is now reemerging
The thing is, at this point it’s pretty much just Givony and Vecenie worth paying attention to (IMO), and Givony is the only one of the two to have him in that first round range. So it’s not like some cadre of draft experts moved him into the first round.
The story is this - of the two full time public draftniks, one has him in the first round and the other doesn’t.
@haney over here lighting fires and just watching it all burn with his draft talk then walking it back.
I guess the one throughput for me is that the future is hard to predict
Damn and you went to UVa to learn that level of insight?
-JK I’m bored and feel like busting balls today.
As Churchill said, “The future is imminent but obscure.”
Agree totally. I’m fully prepared for the reality that he may go, but it feels like we have a different perception of reality than what’s actually happening. We talk about Reece like he’s a top 20-30 player right now, when the majority of mocks out there don’t have him in that range.
Hopefully a great NCAA tourney run will put him up there, I’ll be thrilled. Cause it’ll mean we’ve won a lot of games and it’s great for the program that he gets drafted.
I still don’t think his game has enough offensive versatility for the league right now but I guess they might be willing to wait for that to come around
Yeah, when I watch him I don’t think he is anywhere close to NBA players’ ability to generate offense for themselves. But he does enough other things at a high level that a team could definitely be interested, and it only takes one team to tell you they’ll take you.
We also forget Reece would be a monster in the NBA open court game. And all the spacing he has with everyone being a shooter. Reece will have never seen more open lanes in his life.
Hadn’t been tracking this list, so I don’t know how its been updated throughout the season, but no Reece!! has gotta be an oversight. I guess stat wise (Steals, blocks) it could make sense, but there’s no way there are 15 better defenders in the country.
Give it to Mark Williams again… (TIC)

Ryan Dunn stealing some of his DPOY allocation smh take a dive for the vet, rook
That’s highway robbery right there. There is no excuse for Reece to not be on that list and he should win it.
Here’s
Reece
vs elite opponents
George 6-15 - 5 turnovers
Shannon 4-10 - 6 turnovers
Mills 2-8 - 2 turnovers
Sasser 4-14(on one leg)
Burton 5-14 - 1 turnover
Girard 6-17 - 1 turnover
Love 4-13 - 4 turnovers - and only 1 FG was on Reece
Mills 4-13 - 2 turnovers
Dunking on that fool and punching him in the nuts.
