Speaking as someone who posts a little on social media…I mean the majority of responses have at least a negative undertone if not outright nasty haha It’s just human nature. People who take news any other way don’t feel the need to comment at as high of a rate.
So yeah bad actors, don’t do that yada…but also I roll my eyes at people complaining about it. That’s the world we live in.

Fwiw, since I looked it up earlier: At this point, Sam V had TM3 #37 in his big board. I think the range was something like 25-40. Then TM3 rose up quite a bit with his workouts/interviews, etc (to #17). Compare to Reece – 45 or so seems to be the top end, to undrafted.
But, to be clear, yes, don’t make a fool of yourselves in a kid’s IG announcement. Do it here, where I can read it, please.
(also, fwiw, I was pretty much on Team “he’s gone” on Trey after the Towson game – 6-9 guys who are lights out from 3 don’t grow on trees).

It’s like Amazon reviews… there are only Amazing reviews and Awful reviews… they are the only folks compelled to write. Same with these type of announcements.
If you are good with it and saw it coming… no response is necessary.
If your new Amazon rice cooker works but isn’t blowing your mind… no review will be written.

People need to be happy for the kid, especially if he works his way up draft boards. I remember reading posts from some shallow jackass on the Sabre running Murphy down when he opted in. Guy hasn’t posted at all on Trey with what he’s doing in the NBA.

Yeah Murphy had to receive the most ill will of any early draft entry we’ve had. I think because he was never a real star player here, fans felt like ripped off haha Also that was a non-decision. The media folks may have had him 2nd round but we knew he was a 1st rounder and 99% gone the whole time.

Well Uva fans were ripped off based on expectations… he said he was coming to sit out a year and work on his game and strength and then play great his 2nd year.
Then Tony worked feverishly to get an exemption and suddenly he plays right away and has his best game of
The year his first game and then doesn’t even make 3rd team all Acc.
Fans are naturally gonna want a player back that hasn’t come close to potential while in college.
best way to say that is probably simply we want you back.
