🤔 Remembering some guys

Yup. He was kinda the forgotten starter on the ‘74 national championship team.

Remember seeing that team at a Ft. Eustis Christmas tournament. Iverson had literally the day before been on the football field at the state championship. Walked on the court without a basketball practice and looked like he owned it.

I was shocked at how well he played, but in retrospect I suppose it wasn’t that shocking.

He was at W&L Law School when I was a W&L undergrad. Needless to say, he toyed with us in Intramural hoops.

If he had been 6’8" instead of 6’5"ish he woulda played a long time in the pros. He always just administered an ass whipping when we played against them. You knew it was coming and not much you could do to stop it.

We need more dudes in the league that wear those awesome goggles… who was the dude on the Pacers that used to wear them?

Why did you ask me that? I know who your talking about but can’t remember who it was

Horace Grant and his goggles… just quoting you, not asking.

Jalen “Sticks” Smith

Nah… he was foreign… was it Stojakovic?

I meant that as kind of a joke. I knew who you were talking about but it irritates me that i can’t think of who it was

I hadn’t thought about him in a while, but he was getting lots of buzz for being back in Chicago for some celebration, as well as that awesome hair

Goggles are for wussies. The league needs more dudes just wearing their glasses.

Going far afield here, but F the HBO/Warner/whoever execs for denying us the Lindra Zafrani / Kurt Rambis love story from seasons 4-6 of Winning Time, which is still playing out in the Lakers front office to this very day
