Discus Athletic, one of the sponsors in that intro, was a division of Tultex Corporation, a textile company in Martinsville. Shawn Moore’s dad worked for Tultex (as I did during my summers home from UVA) and Discus signed Shawn to an endorsement deal when he was drafted by the Broncos. My paternal grandmother was a sewing machine operator for Tultex (it was Sale Knitting when she was there) for a few decades and my mom (a business customer service rep) retired from Tultex about 9 months before it went bankrupt.
