Oh man. Mike Patrick might have been my all time favorite CBB play by play guy. For a long time, when you heard his voice it was synonymous with big ACC game .

I think he did the 95 UVa-FSU football game, too

I’ve always wondered what that bandage was covering on Hall. He had it on most of the year.

I think I may still have mine after all these years.

For anyone that cares or remembers. I just walked downstairs to buy an beera. Saw dude in my local spot eating and one in Green and Gold hoodie. I bot my beera and came back, double take, Marc Brown who we played against in Alaska and he was on Siena

One of the best scoring PGs of that time

We had a cool pound and talk. He didnt remember me but he immediately said John Crotty

How in the world did you recognize someone you played against 1 time 35 years ago in Alaska?

Man memory is a strange thing. 35 years ago no problem. Last week no chance

Also. He was really good

I’m pretty sure that was Ron Franklin and Gary Danielson (only because I used to watch my VHS tape of that game multiple times per year). But Mike was great on football too.

Yeah, went back and watched the clips. Def not Patrick, but he did so some college football in that era

Not Franklin, either. I think it was Brad Nessler with Danielson (just like on the CBS SEC game of the week in recent years).

Thought I recognized Nessler’s voice

Keith Friel

(Also ESPN and Sportscenter really used to be the best. Miss this type of coverage)

I don’t know, was that the greatest upset or was it UMBC? One thing for sure–we were on the wrong end of the greatest upset.

Oh Chaminade by far

I’ve seen Chaminade ranked as the second biggest upset in all of sports, after the Miracle on Ice.
