Will Tony Bennett go out during the live period over the weekend of May 17th? The only AAU weekend of the spring.

  • Tony will go
  • Isaiah takes his place

I hope he goes out. Fear he may still be hosting transfers.

My guess is TB goes out…assuming they’re at least close to finished with transfers. But I suspect Isaiah and/or Johnny will be out too, filling in for some of them. They’re badly in need of a break.

I think he goes. 2025 guard spot is live again (in terms of fitting the guys who they’ve been on) so he’s got some guys to bird dog while assistants collect new names.

They can sleep when Tony retires next year. That offense ain’t gonna redesign itself.

I was looking at the recruiting calendar (what is wrong with me?) and noticed a couple of one-day long dead periods in the next two months: https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/compliance/recruiting/calendar/2023-24/2023-24D1Rec_MBBRecruitingCalendar.pdf

Is that there to give everyone a break on…Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Juneteenth?

He’s been playing better so I don’t see how Duke doesn’t want him. But I remember HGN saying if not Duke then UVA/he’s close with family and wants to stay home

Ament’s upcoming Indiana visit feels like a signpost moment in his recruitment. And while there are other teams lingering around the periphery, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Duke seem like the most likely landing spots for the five-star wing as things stand. Should things on his Indiana go well, the Hoosiers may kick in the door to the presumed top group, but luring the 6-foot-7 forward away from the East Coast will take a herculean effort.

Just saw this last paragraph in the rivals article. Lines up

Respectfully, do we actually have a chance here? Trying to determine my personal preference listing for the last scholarship currently open :joy:

He’s not a reclass. And we aren’t getting him.

Oh that I do know. But Patton could affect him. But also doesn’t matter if we aren’t getting him anyways haha

Saw this (247 had their own Ament update today) from a Duke fan

Man TJ Power is going to drop 50 on their head

In fairness, after Keels, Power, and Kon, they do kind of get to make that joke ha.

But hope Power hits a game winning shot in Durham and stares down Scheyer to help make up for it all.
