It sucks that football season is over.
Iāll still watch but wonāt lie and say Iām excited for it.
Not a great matchup for us. Good running team with a mobile QB. Who knows who will play/care on either side tho
I personally wouldnāt get up for it with no chance of an edible mascot

Can someone at least ask Elliott his favorite poptart flavor?
Does he have a favorite tax form??
1040 EZ
Really need to make this a thing. Maybe the mascot is Irving R Scheister, or something.
Happy for the team to be here and get a chance to send off this group in the proper manor. If you told the 4th 5th and 6th yrs theyād be in the Gator Bowl back when they were 1st yra theyād never believe you.
Realistically this is disappointing and Iām still bummed over Saturday. Iām sure it will pass eventually and by the time the bowl rolls around Iāll be up for it.
I am concerned about ticket sales. Its going to be hard to convince the base to buy in and I donāt know what the sales hook is.
Is it a bad matchup? Genuinely curious because on paper it looks like a pretty one dimensional offense, albeit probably the best at that one dimension of any team weāve faced. Feel like we can stack the box a bit more and keep it low(ish) scoring.
Our offense is going to have a tough time but hopefully the extra break gets us coming in a little healther on that side of the ball
Iām fully invested in this one. Will be maybe 5k UVA fans there which is totally understandable but itās a solid opponent from a P2 conference who was relevant throughout the season. A win for our first 11 win season would be a big accomplishment to sell when portal recruiting opens up and generally a positive ending that would help draw our fanbase back in
Missouriās 4 conference wins were against the bottom 4 teams in the SEC with 3 cumulative wins (2 against Arkansas, 1 against Kentucky). Their wins were vs bad teams and those teamsā few wins were against bad teams. Their claim to fame is 4 closish losses to Alabama, Oklahoma, TAMU and Vandy. A solidly mediocre SEC team that wouldāve been a good regular season OOC test, but for the bowl game itāll depend on whoās playing for either team.
Hope they have similar opt outs as South Carolina did back in 2018
Iām still bummed and havenāt read or posted a single thing on here since the game started.
You know, if you told me in August that weād win 10 games and go to the Gator Bowl I wouldāve been thrilled. Totally exceeded expectations. Even if you told me we went 10-3 and lost to Miami or even GT or SMU in the ACCCG I wouldāve been thrilled with the season. But we lost as a favorite to Duke. And I canāt help but feel somehow disappointed by that.
This mightāve been the best season in school history. Top 3 at least. Maybe Iāll feel that way in the future, but it doesnāt feel that way right now.
I donāt know how much the bowls care about attendance or how well the participation schoolsā fans travel. The Gator Bowl got 30k last year with Ole Miss vs Duke and 40k the year before with Clemson vs Kentucky. A lot of our traveling group of fans mightāve spent their money and energy for Charlotte already, so Iām not expecting a big crowd in Jacksonville. I donāt know if any non-playoff CG losers ever travel well to bowl games. Or even non-playoff CG winners. I donāt know if it matters. The TV money is the main revenue driver for the Bowl games followed by the naming rights sponsors.
Well said and I agree all around.
If we want to beat Mizzou we will need to come out swinging - unlike last Saturday. They are battle hardened and well coached.
On a level playing field this would be a teally fun game and a good matchup agaisnt a ranked team.
Being a bowl game I have no idea how people show up
We have nothing to lose tbh. Ball out and take shots!!! I feel like the passiveness against Duke hurt us
We won 10 in the regular season for the 2nd time in program history, had the best regular season record in the ACC, beat Tech finally. We win in Jacksonville and Iād consider it the most successful season weāve had.
