Interesting number of mid- major guys on Floridaās roster. Shows that it can be done that way but I think that one needs luck along with great talent evaluations to pull it off.
Thereās a huge emphasis on being to do quick evals on portal guys and get them right. I donāt think the prior staff was particularly good at it. While we had success with transfers, it came mostly from guys we had recruited extensively in HS (Gill, Hauser, Key, Murphy, etc). Odom has done a good job building rosters quickly so seems like he has a better knack for that type of skill.

Really good defensive guard. No idea if Odom is a two guards and a wing or a 3 guard guy (like peak Tony).

Also, just wanna say, I think thereās a decent chance that Power does really well at that level and then transfers back for his senior season (where he proceeds to be benched)

I do feel bad for the guy. Heās obviously been a massive bust so far, but itās not his fault people thought he was good and he wasnāt.
Like paying him 600-700k isnāt his fault lol. He tried his best.

I havenāt done the āwho do I want to keepā thing, so here goes. Who Iād prioritize keeping:
- A-Rob (so hard to find this skillsetāor afford itāin the portal)
- Cofie (young; still think heāll be a great college player)
- iMac (symbolic value)
- Elijah G (still great potential; could be a huge bargain)
Torn:
- Dai Dai (good player, but a funny fit. Not great at any one thing. Not a good defender. Not a pure PG. Iād like to see if we can do better, but maybe we canāt)
- Elijah S (kind of similar to DD but at big forward. Stretch skills but canāt play big / canāt rebound. Not that functionally athletic for hoops. Yet might be best case scenario for a portal big forward)
