Yeah, I think he’s sorta in the Hauser-BVP mold (in terms of game, not sure about talent level)
Not the Hauser level of walking bucket but a more rounded game overall especially comparing same stages. Probably about even defensively (not great)
I don’t say this often, but I think it’s reasonable to mostly throw the freshmen year stats out of the window when projecting Power’s impact here. His role at Duke was just so different than what I think he’ll get the opportunity to do here. They had him as a pure corner shooter and way down the list of offensive options. Here, spots in the pecking order on offense are certainly up for grabs. I guess you can take away from his time at Duke that they didn’t think he was good enough on offense to take shots away from the other guys there…how meaningful that might be is unclear to me.
I think a best-case scenario is that he can have a Hunter Sallis-like transition from a limited role to a more expansive one. I guess the worst-case is that he’s only capable of playing a limited role. I’m optimistic, myself.
