Started his career in 2019. So ready for the Covid eligibility group to be done with college basketball. Will help level the playing field a little bit more.

Same recruiting class as Anthony Edwards, Casey Morsell, and Drew Timme (last two I listed because they’ve seemingly been in college forever)

The first day of the Fall 2018 recruiting period…Tony Bennett first stopped in PA to see Oscar Tshiebwe that morning, then made 2 stops in New Jersey for Khalf Battle and Luther Muhammad. This was a month before flying to LA to get Kihei Clark.

So Virginia was sort of recruiting Battle (never offered) before Kihei. That’s how old he is.

About 7 or 8 years ago, I had a former student from England at the Virginia community college where I work transfer to NYU and play soccer. Looking at their soccer schedule, they play a lot of schools where athletics clearly rule over academics (University of Chicago, Washington University, Emory, Carnegie-Mellon, Rochester).

About 7 or 8 years ago, I had a former student from England at the Virginia community college where I work transfer to NYU and play soccer. Looking at their soccer schedule, they play a lot of schools where athletics clearly rule over academics (University of Chicago, Washington University, Emory, Carnegie-Mellon, Rochester).

I played a sport at a D3 school. The competition ranged from “we are way better than these jabronis” to “oh no, this is basically a team full of D1-level guys who just wanted to go to a really good academic school.” We would go from wiping the floor with a team without having to play our starters to getting hopelessly rolled, and this was in-conference play.
