Justin Bean anyone???
Heavy volume isn’t a plus when your percentage is 31.6. Armaan was heavy volume this year and made 50+ threes.
Who is that?
His declaring for the draft statement says he’s forgoing eligibility, so I assume he’s not looking to transfer.
Shucks, I just saw his name on Verbal Commits. Not that I think we would have been in play. If he does play college basketball next year and wants to transfer up I assume it would be a Big 12 team.
Yeah, I mean, that doesn’t really encourage me. We want guys who makes threes at a good rate and shoot a high volume. That’s how we get back to being a good offense, not guys shooting a bunch and missing a bunch.
Anyway, not trying to be too negative, but this team badly needs more legitimate three point threats. I don’t know that a guy who shot just over 31% on high volume is something that’s going to get me very excited.
And just to say it again - high volume on assisted 3s (which are the kind our offense generates). It isn’t an anthony edwards situation where he was a chucker in college because he was carrying an entire team.
Indiana guard Khristian Lander has entered the transfer portal, sources told ESPN. Former five-star recruit didn’t carve out a consistent role in two seasons with the Hoosiers.
Flashback
Probably not though.
[Deleted - too sarcastic even for me]
Injury plagued. Also got beat out by the transfer in pg from Pitt and Tamar Bates. Doesn’t help that Indiana has that 5 star pg Jalen-Hood Schifino in 2022 and Gabe Cupps in 2023 coming in.
Mike Young’s next recruit. (entered the portal)
But foreal Max Klesmit and Grant Basile both Wisconsin kids. Both likely to end up at Wisconsin but UVA staff probably know both their high school coaches/were already tipped off about them in the portal probably.
Edit: kids clip looks real good. Can play both the 1 or the 2 (not a great A:T ratio though for a one). Looks like a better version of Storm Murphy although it seems Wisconsin will push hard for the kid
Nevada guard Dez Cambridge in the portal now as well. Not sure he’s a fit, but one of the nicest looking jumpshots I’ve seen. 52% from 2 and 37% from 3 last year
Young brother is at Auburn so that may be where he’s headed but yeah he’s really good.
And only 88% of those 3s were assisted
If I remember correctly, UVa looked at him initially
A Firesign Theatre reference?
