Nope not over blowing it. It tanks our NET and KenPom which both show up on team sheets. Best case scenario is they rely on SOR metrics and quad records for selection so we still make the tournament but we get a low seed because our quality metrics are awful
Iām just despondent about next season. Bubble team this season and will be considerably worse next season unless we hit the lotto in the portal. Still clinging to the idea of Tony having one more really good team. Hopefully Gertrude stays and is what weāve been missing in addition to a few great transfers

Totally fine getting Eli in there (think he should have been in long ago). But we need to put an effort in here to actually get a not this horrific margin of defeat vs. just completely punting the game.
Frankly, everyone has been terrible. They are just frantic now. Just hope Tony can get them to put it behind them and get ready for UNC.
This team is prob only winning 1 more reg season game, so weāre gonna be sweating the ACC tourney and selection Sunday. Iād be happy with last 4 in at this rate.
Both Pitt and Hokies are 5 out teams with rangy lanky bigs. Think staff made the error of overestimating how much they needed to adjust to the mobility, especially since Buchanan is still young and raw and getting lost with all the spacing

The reason Eli is playing is because Tony threw in the towel with 9 minutes left. I realize thereās no chance of winning at this point, but losing by 40 does have real consequences in our chances to make the tournament.

Yeah we do need to keep our starters in. Eli and Dante and Bond midrange are not going to save us.
I donāt care if weāre the last of the last 4 in. I just want a chance in the madness.
But honestly losing like this and only beating GT down the stretch (believable at this rate) prob doesnāt get us in. Beating UNC Saturday will make me forget all about this one though
