Am able to listen along, again no PBP from me. The commentator for this game mentioned that a wisdom tooth infection is what was keeping Blanco out, pretty bad luck but glad it wasn’t anything arm related.

Down 1-0 in bottom of first but bases juiced. VMI is as advertised on the basepaths. Fast and smart…

Anyone have HOOS tv link? I can’t get it to work.

Ugh, nothing comes of it. 2 lucky plays Ford hard hit ball straight to 3B and Teel hard hit that bounced straight down off the pitchers elbow. 1-0 VMI going to the 2nd.

Teel in a big spot up with 2 on and 2 out in the 4th after singles by Arroyo and Ford
Down 0-2 quickly… meek groundout to end it.
Going to top of 5th - Hoos 4-3

Did I just see extended netting down the baseline?

Jaxel with a great 5th - 2 Ks

Hoos are up 6-3 after 6 complete.

Jaxel with a great 3.1 inning stint allowing 1 hit.
His day is done as Barker is in.

Wow Didawick just robbed a HR in LF that would’ve tied the game. It’s 6-4 Hoos in the 8th, runner on 1st and two outs.

Osinski enters the game after Colucci struggles again. Joe has some good life on his FB but doesn’t miss enough bats with it.

Osinski closes things out with a K swinging on 98 mph high heat.

HOOS win 6-4 to take their home opener and improve to 4-3. VMI falls to 7-1.

We’ll see you this weekend for our home series against Dartmouth.

Bottom of the 1st, RHP Bryce Loeger starts on the mound for Dartmouth. SS Eric Becker leads off for the HOOS.

  • Becker on the first pitch pops out to Krewson at short. One down for 2B Henry Godbout.
  • Godbout K’s swinging. Two down for 1B Chris Arroyo.
  • Arroyo hits a liner to Reiss in LF that he catches on the warning track on the run to end the inning. Commentator made it sound more impressive than it was.
