So 3?
1 HR, 1 triple and 3 doubles - 15 hits
Nunnallee finally breaks out with a 5/5 day with 4 RBI
HOOS won 13-3 in 8 innings on another mercy rule today to complete the sweep of Dartmouth. UVA improves to 7-3 on the season, Dartmouth falls to 0-6.
As mentioned by Dave above, 15 hits today with the highlight being Nunnallee’s 5 for 5 performance. Becker hit our lone HR, Wells continued his hot start going 2 for 3 and Godbout and Teel both went 2 for 5.
Few were hit to the warning track. Give us a little wind and I think we have 2-3 more but solid hitting today.
Only guys who can’t seem to get it going are Ference and Hanson. Was nice to see Didawick finally get a hold of one on Friday.
It seems that way. I thought backup catchers Wells and James have looked great in their ABs, and 3B backup Sirois has looked solid.
Another 3B backup Harris roped a liner down the RF line in the 8th inning, too.
We have more than enough bats to overcome the starts of Ference and Didawick, if Oak allows it.
To paraphrase Zoolander, “Hanson, so cold right now.”
Yeah I was surprised to see James get the start as a DH but he’s already got more RBI’s than most of our team. Sirois definitely looks like he could push Hanson at third. Definitely agree though, we’ve got more than enough on the bench to cover for it.
