I remember another team that started off ranked at the top and dealt with some injuries and slow starts… they ended up not stinking contrary to evidence stating otherwise the first 2 months of the season.

I totally get this but we were so gassed up and I hate seeing the other team get hype when we have 0 life. I know coach oak will get it turned around.

Well those teams don’t have BOC as a coach, who has consistently proven he can make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

You’re not invalid for feeling pessimistic about this team, because yeah up to this point it’s been ugly and they’re playing very poorly. But on the flip side it’s gonna be tough to convince long time followers of UVA baseball to concretely say this team sucks and is going nowhere when we’ve seen worse teams in the past somehow find their groove and still make deep runs in the tourney. BOC and KMac have earned a TON of benefit of the doubt over the past 20 years.

Regardless though, we do have to prove that correct and turn things around at some point.

Let’s have an easy conversation here.

There’s a player who has our worst BA + our worst FLD%. Yet he’s played every game (14) — and started 13 of them. We’re 8-5 in his starts. 1-0 when he doesn’t start.

It’s pretty easy for Oak here who’s the dead weight on this team.

Bench him.
