Next year’s schedule news - re: Florida. Apparently Riley Kugel is an NBA talent. 6-5 guard. Passed up the draft this year; back next year and expected to be first round 2024.

It’s also a strange derivative of bowling around Germany… and translates to Ball or Sphere…
Also used by my kids for how many scoops of ice cream they want when ordering… zwei Kugeln is fine… but drei Kugeln gets judgement eyes.

He may have been open to it honestly. The staff may have already said no. It’s hard to see the staff taking a commitment from Minor though while selling him on the starting 5 role then bringing Kadin back into the fold.
Yeah, It’s hard for me to see a world with minor/dunn that you can give Shed the minutes that he would want

He won’t get the minutes at Duke either. If that’s where he goes it will confirm my belief that he can’t step up and be the guy.

Tony doesn’t promise minutes, he promises the opportunity to compete. Now you might look at the roster and see lots of opportunity but cannot imagine a world where Tony told him he was starting directly. The nuance matters.

Whether Kadin comes back or not, I still have trouble imagining us heading into the season with no player taller than 6-9. There’s a difference between “going small” and “being small.” Even with BVP starting last year, you had the flexibility to bring in Kadin or Papi in situations where you needed more size.
I know Miami pulled it off last year with Omier as their tallest player at 6-7, but they won games with their offense, not their defense, and I’m doubt that’s going to be a winning strategy for us.
